An Italian Renaissance Garden Wedding at Hamilton Gardens

A Formal Garden Backdrop, No Passport Required

Clare and Conor married at Hamilton Gardens, choosing the Italian Renaissance Garden as their ceremony backdrop for a January wedding in front of around eighty guests. The garden's manicured hedging and formal symmetry gave the ceremony a genuinely grand setting, the kind couples often travel for, without needing to look far beyond Hamilton to find it.

Five Speeches, No Part of the Night Rushed

Guests arrived mid afternoon ahead of a four o'clock ceremony, coverage picking up from there through portraits and back to the reception for cake cutting and a run of five speeches spread across the evening. It's a structure that let the celebration breathe, no single part of the night crowded out to make way for the next. The garden's clean lines and greenery did a lot of the visual work through the ceremony and portraits, formal enough for photos while still carrying its own established, public character.

Considering Hamilton Gardens for Your Ceremony?

If a formal garden setting appeals to you, Hamilton Gardens is well worth considering, Clare and Conor's day shows how well the space suits a larger celebration with a full evening of speeches. If you're planning a Waikato wedding, or looking for a photographer and videographer to cover a longer evening programme, we'd love to hear from you.
