Samoan, Maori and Christian Traditions in One Day

Ezra and Samantha's wedding at Beaufords in Totara Park carried a real sense of togetherness, with Samoan heritage on one side and Canadian, Maori and Christian traditions on the other, petal confetti drifting across the afternoon light as guests arrived for the ceremony. Blending cultural elements into a single wedding day takes some careful planning, and it showed in how naturally the different traditions sat alongside each other across the Saturday in mid November.

Room for Every Tradition to Breathe

The day ran from mid afternoon through into the evening, full day photography and film coverage capturing bride and groom preparation, the ceremony, and a buffet reception for around one hundred guests. A venue with room to move matters when a wedding day is bringing together different customs, speeches and traditions, and Beaufords gave Ezra and Samantha's day exactly that kind of space, from the ceremony through to an evening of dinner and dancing with nothing feeling rushed.

Planning a Multicultural Wedding at Beaufords

If you're planning a wedding that blends more than one culture or tradition, Ezra and Samantha's day at Beaufords in Totara Park is a beautiful example of how well it can come together. We'd love to hear from you if you're planning something similar.
