A Korean Wedding Celebration at Winehouse, Queenstown
Updated: Sep 6
A Korean Ceremony Against Otago's High Country
Christine and Mike were married at Winehouse in Queenstown, choosing a late November Saturday for a full day of celebration that blended Korean tradition with the stunning backdrop of the Otago high country. With getting ready handled from the couple's own accommodation, the day moved smoothly into an early afternoon ceremony, group portraits, and a couple shoot by helicopter over the surrounding landscape, before the evening turned into a full reception with plated dining and speeches.
Portraits From Above the Mountains
Queenstown has become an increasingly popular choice for couples wanting their wedding photography to make the most of New Zealand's mountain scenery, and a helicopter couple shoot is one of the more memorable ways to do it. For Christine and Mike, it meant portraits with views most guests never see up close, before returning to the venue for an evening that carried on with dinner, dessert, and dancing well past nightfall. With around 60 guests, plated meals, and several rounds of speeches worked into the run sheet, the reception at Winehouse felt properly considered from start to finish.
