A Full Day Wedding at the Red Barn
Updated: Aug 29
Two Cultures, One Rustic Barn
Clara and Jastint were married at the Red Barn on a Sunday in early September, weaving elements of Singaporean culture into a day built around the venue's rustic charm. Around twenty guests joined the ceremony itself, with the reception growing to about fifty for an evening of dinner, speeches and dancing, full day photo and video coverage running from morning right through to the last dance.
From an Intimate Morning to a Full Evening
The day opened with bride and groom preparation before moving into the ceremony, group photos, a leisurely lunch with speeches, and a bridal party shoot while the afternoon light was still soft. By evening, everyone had regrouped back at the barn for a welcome speech, cake cutting, first dances and a bridal party performance, the guest list growing steadily from an intimate morning into a proper celebration by nightfall. It's the kind of shape a rustic barn venue lends itself to particularly well, casual enough for a relaxed morning, but with plenty of room to build into something bigger.
Planning a Full Day Wedding at the Red Barn
If you're drawn to a day that grows the way Clara and Jastint's did, morning intimacy building into an evening celebration, the Red Barn is a great match for it. If you're planning a Waikato barn wedding, or looking for a photographer and videographer to cover the whole arc of the day, we'd love to hear from you.
