Jessica Couture: Three Designer Labels Under One Roof
Updated: Aug 29
Vendor Spotlight: Bridal & Wedding Dresses
Jessica Couture on Broadway in Newmarket is a bit different from most Auckland bridal boutiques in that it isn't built around a single label. They carry their own Jessica Couture line alongside Miss Chloe and Atelier Wu, which gives couples three distinct design philosophies in one appointment rather than needing to boutique hop across town to compare romantic, classic and couture styles.

Why We Recommend Them
Having three labels under one roof means a genuinely wide stylistic range: Jessica Couture's own designs lean toward elegant, comfortable construction for classic silhouettes, Miss Chloe brings a more romantic, outgoing energy, and Atelier Wu pushes into sculptural, modern couture territory. For couples who aren't sure exactly what they want yet, that range gives them somewhere to start narrowing down rather than guessing.
What They Offer
Beyond gowns, the boutique carries a proper range of bridal accessories and veils, including mantilla lace styles like the one pictured below, in fabrics spanning lace, mikado, satin and jacquard. They also host trunk shows periodically and are connected into international bridal markets like One Fine Day in New York, so new collections do genuinely rotate through.
The Experience
The Newmarket flagship on Broadway runs by appointment only, with consultations built around understanding what a bride actually wants before pulling gowns, rather than working through a fixed rack in order. They also feature real bride stories from past weddings, which is a nice way to see how a gown actually held up on an actual wedding day rather than just on a model.

Our Tips
A mantilla veil like the one pictured is one of our favourite details to photograph during a first look or ceremony walk, the scalloped lace edge catches light differently to a plain tulle veil and reads beautifully in both colour and black and white. If a couple is drawn to this kind of veil, we'd suggest a slightly slower ceremony entrance so we can catch it settling rather than rushing past it.

If you're working with Jessica Couture on your dress, we'd love to know which of the three labels you've gone with ahead of the wedding, since each has a slightly different photography personality, romantic, classic or sculptural. Full day wedding coverage means we get to build the whole day's visual style around that choice rather than working it out on the fly.
