Grace and Flora: The Parnell Florist Bringing an Artist's Eye to Wedding Bouquets

Vendor Spotlight: Florists
One of the questions we get asked most often by couples planning their wedding is who they should book for flowers. Every time we shoot a wedding styled by Grace and Flora, we come away with a fresh set of favourite shots, because their arrangements photograph beautifully in every kind of light. So we wanted to write up why we keep recommending this little Parnell studio to our couples.

Why We Recommend Them
Grace and Flora was founded in 2017 by Hannah Low, who trained in Fine Arts before turning her attention to flowers. You can see that background in the work itself. The arrangements read less like standard bridal florals and more like small compositions, built with real attention to colour, texture and the negative space between blooms. As photographers, that matters more than people realise. A bouquet that has been thoughtfully shaped catches light differently in every frame, and it gives us so much more to work with when we are composing a portrait or a detail shot.
Their studio is a short walk from some of our favourite Parnell ceremony and reception spots, which makes logistics easy on the day. Flowers can be collected or delivered with plenty of time to spare before photos begin.
What They Offer
The team works across the full range of wedding florals: bridal bouquets, bridesmaid and flower girl posies, buttonholes and corsages, ceremony arches and installations, table centrepieces, and larger reception styling. They also offer dried floral arrangements for couples who want something that lasts well beyond the wedding day, and flower subscriptions if you are after fresh blooms in the lead-up to the big day itself.
Grace and Flora does not publish a set price list for weddings, which is fairly typical in the florist world given how much a quote depends on the season, the flower varieties chosen and the overall scale of styling. Their enquiry process asks for your rough budget upfront so they can talk you through what is realistic, which we think is a considerate way to handle it. As with any vendor, we would recommend reaching out directly for a current quote before you commit anything to your wedding budget.

The Experience
What stands out to us about working alongside Grace and Flora on a wedding day is how well their florals hold up to hours of photographing. Some arrangements start to wilt or lose their shape by the time evening portraits roll around, but theirs consistently still look fresh. It is a small thing, but it makes a real difference across a long wedding day when we are chasing light at multiple points, from the getting-ready shots through to golden hour.
Couples who have worked with them also tell us they appreciated how collaborative the planning process felt. Rather than handing over a rigid package, Hannah and her team take the time to understand the mood a couple is going for and build a palette around it, which tends to produce arrangements that feel personal rather than generic.
Our Tips
If you have a particular colour palette or flower in mind, bring reference photos to your first conversation. It helps enormously with getting the vision aligned early. And if you are working with us on photography too, let us know what your florals will look like ahead of time. It helps us plan bouquet and detail shots, and think about how the ceremony florals will sit within the wider scene we are framing.
